What to expect?
If this is your first massage with me you will be asked to fill out a brief (but very valuable) confidential client health information intake form. This will give me the information I need to tailor the session so you receive the most benefit. Then I will leave the room, giving you the time to dress down to your comfort level (you will always be covered except for the body part we are working on); get under the covers lying face down with your face supported on the face cradle; I will check back with a knock on the door to see if you are ready.
Massage – how much time should I schedule?
30 minute session
This is great when you don’t have the time or budget for a full hour but you have that nagging pain that really needs attention.
60 minute session (Focused Area Massage)
I find that a full body massage feels a bit rushed in this time frame…so you pick three or four areas and I cover these really well.
90 minute session: (Full Body Massage)
This is plenty of time to do a full body massage, with time for attention to your trouble spots as well.
First time clients schedule a 90 minute session to include time for a full history, discovery/diagnostics and treatment. (Subsequent visits will be 60 minutes.) You will want to either bring or wear soft, non-binding clothes for the session. It is not uncommon for emotions to bubble to the surface to be released. Give yourself some extra time after treatment to gently ease back into the ‘real world’.
How many visits will this take?
That depends on you!
To correct long held patterns or problems — you would most likely benefit from more frequent sessions, usually I recommend once a week for 3 weeks and reassess at that time.
Health maintenance – once a month is usually ideal but it depends on the person and your goals.
Cleansing – detoxifying support – usually with the change of the season.
Personal goals – any one of these treatment plans could apply.
I bill for motor vehicle claims only. You will need a prescription provided by your physician to receive massage.
Check back for status on personal insurance billing.
Forms of payment accepted
Cash, check, debit or credit cards.
In consideration for the time that is reserved for you, if you miss your appointment or cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged the full fee for your appointment. I realize that life is not a ‘perfect science’ so if you wake up with the flu or you have an emergency you will not be charged.
